Would you like to learn more about Parkinson's research?

Join us for a day of talks that aim to update you on key areas of Parkinson's research, no matter what your previous knowledge of research might be. Lunch will be included, and throughout the day attendees with have the opportunity to meet our speakers and dedicated research supporters.

We will also be sharing how your involvement in Parkinson's research, however small, can help us to move towards better treatments and ultimately a cure.

A full programme will be issued shortly but confirmed speakers include:

  • Dr Heather Mortiboys, Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN): "The journey from laboratory drug screen to clinical trial"
  • Dr Chris Elliot, University of York: "A new route to developing treatments for LRRK2 Parkinson’s?"
  • Dr Bhanu Ramaswamy, Honorary Visiting Fellow, Sheffield Hallam University
  • Dr Richard Mead, Keapstone Therapeutics: "Switching on cell defence systems by blocking KEAP1"

We'll also hear from people with Parkinson's and be sharing how your involvement in Parkinson's research, however small, can help us to move towards better treatments and ultimately a cure.
